2 days from Marrakech to Merzouga

In the morning at 7:00 am, we will pick you up from your Riad in Marrakech. The starting point of our tour is Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains and then to the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, which will be the first site to be covered and which is declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It is perhaps by far the most attractive and best-preserved fortress city in Morocco. In 1994, the Moroccan government took the initiative to renovate the Kasbah so that the national and cultural heritage can be preserved and maintained. This Kasbah was originally an important station for camel caravans long ago, carrying salt across the Sahara and returning with silver, gold, and slaves. Then, we will pick up the pace by driving towards the city of Ouarzazate, which is like the gateway to the Sahara desert and serves as a backdrop for international filmmakers. Some well-known Hollywood movies have been filmed here in Ouarzazate, including Hollywood blockbusters such as  » The Gladiator  »,  » The Mummy « ,  » Kingdom of Heaven « ,  » Game of Thrones  », « Prince of Persia and Lawrence of Arabia ”. Then, we will enjoy the impressive panoramic landscapes along the Draa Valley. Upon arrival in Merzouga, we will start a camel trek for about 1-2 hours to reach the location of our night camp in the Berber desert. Private Berber bivouacs will be provided for you so that you can enjoy the countless stars that shine in the sky of the Sahara desert. We will spend the night in nomad tents.
