2 days from Marrakech to Zagora

Our 2-day tour from Marrakech to Zagora starts in the morning at 8:00 am. We will pick you up in Marrakech from your hotel or Riad in a comfortable and air-conditioned 4×4 vehicle. Heading south-east, we will leave the town of Orche and meet many small towns scattered here and there on our way.

After traveling about 100 kilometers, we will notice that we start to climb once we approach the Atlas mountain range and the highest pass in the Tizi N-Tichka range (2160 m). In winter, the pass is usually covered with snow. Here, in one of Tichka’s terraces, we will stop for a coffee to fully wake up and relieve ourselves by stretching our legs. Once again, we will find a series of Berber villages scattered over the hills and mountains. 

The beautiful landscapes on our way change from time to time without leaving room for boredom. Traveling about 90 kilometers from the Tichka pass, we will arrive in Ouarzazate, where we will stop again to enjoy, on the one hand, the incredible Kasbah of Taourirt, which is the former home of GaidPachaGlaoui and, of on the other hand, the cinema museum because Ouarzazate is an international. attraction as a filming location for its distinguished location and gigantic film studios which attract some of the major international experts in the film industry to work there. 

From now on, through the wonderful valleys, we will continue 90 kilometers to reach Agdez, where we will enjoy its view of the palm trees from an elevated position. After having had enough fun, we make a small detour by the main road which crosses a river then we drive inside the fields to reach the place where we will have a delicious lunch in a beautiful Kasbah located in Talmnougalt and highlighted by its terrace which is sunny enough to warm up in cold weather and overlooking a palm grove. 

Right after lunch, our desert trip continues to the town of Zagora, where we will have a nice camel trek. The camels will be waiting for us at the end of the asphalt road to arrive just in time at the bivouac where we will take pleasure in admiring the majestic sunset. A good opportunity to take memorable photos. Upon arrival at the Zagora desert bivouac, the staff will welcome you to a mint tea session to break the ice with the other participants and get to know each other, and hand you their tents. The night sky in the desert camp is clear, so you can easily see the brightness of countless stars and discern different types of constellations. We will have a delicious home-cooked dinner. 

Then we will have a nice meeting around the campfire to share beautiful moments and stories, forget about the world and enjoy singing, dancing, and laughing around the fire.
