7 days Morocco desert tours Agadir to Fes via Marrakech

Day 1: Transfer from the airport to your hotel in Agadir

Our experienced driver will meet you at Agadir airport and take you to the place of his choice; your accommodation or any other place you want to visit depends on your arrival time.

Day 2: Travel from Agadir to visit the imperial city of Marrakech

After your breakfast, we will start your 7 days private Moroccan desert tour from Agadir to Fez via Marrakech and Merzouga, leaving the city of Agadir and we will travel to Marrakech by taking the highway from Agadir to Marrakech.

After a total of 3 hours on the road with some stops along the way crossing the High Atlas Mountains and the Berber villages of Soss. Once you arrive in the Imperial City of Marrakech, you will meet our local city guide to start a walking tour of the Medina (old red city of Marrakech). You will start by visiting the historical monuments of Marrakech, including the famous Bahia Palace, a walk through the gardens of the Koutoubia Mosque, and finally the famous Jamaa El Fana square at night.

Day 3: Travel from Marrakech to Dades Valley via Ouarzazate and the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou

Today we will travel to the Dades Valley from Marrakech crossing the Tizi N Tichka pass of the High Atlas mountains (2260 m), to reach the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the fortified ksar with its beautiful Kasbahs. The Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou has served as a natural setting for many films. After lunch, we will continue to the Dades gorges through Ouarzazate and the valley of the roses. 

Upon reaching Boumalne Dades, we will turn off towards a secondary road that goes up through the Dades gorges. From there we will enjoy incredible rock formations (called monkey fingers) and fortified kasbah landscapes along the Dades River, with the sunset as a backdrop. After a stop in the canyons to have a drink or admire the majestic scenery, we continue to our hotel. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 4: from the Dades valley to the Merzouga desert through the Todra gorges

After breakfast at your hotel in the Dades Valley, our journey will begin today with a hike along the 1000 Kasbahs Road to Tighir Oasis, where we will detour to Todgha, where we will stop for a ride through the canyons. 

After some free time to enjoy the immensity of the immense cliffs, we continue our journey to Erfoud, famous for its date market and its fossil factories. After a short stop, we will continue to reach the Merzouga desert. Get to know our camel caravan and ride a camel through the incredible sand dunes that change color with the sunset on the horizon as a backdrop. We reached our camp in the Sahara desert before dark.

After some time to admire the sand dunes and surrounding landscapes with the opportunity to take some beautiful photos, get ready for a traditional Moroccan dinner served under the stars by the campfire. While having fun and entertaining with their drums dancing and singing by the hosts of the camp.

Day 5: camel trekking experience in the Sahara desert in Merzouga

Your camel guide will wake you up very early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, perhaps the best moment of the Merzouga Sahara desert, followed by a typical breakfast in the desert camp, then you will return by camel to meet your driver and start an amazing day trip through the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi.

This desert excursion will give you the opportunity to explore the surroundings of the Merzouga desert visiting small towns like Khalifa, the black town famous for Gnawa music. After that, you will go to discover the local souk (market) of Rissani, shopping like the locals. You will have a break for lunch and then we will take you back to your hotel to relax. The afternoon will be free.

Day 6: Travel from the desert of Merzouga to the city of Fez

Today you leave the magical Moroccan Sahara desert after a great adventure trip in the desert traveling to the imperial city of Fez via Erfoud, known for its souk of dates and fossils, enjoy the panoramic view of the Ziz valley with its palm groves along the river and the Berber. villages along the Middle Atlas Mountains. 

We will have time for lunch in Midelt before continuing to the famous cedar forest of Azrou to take memorable photos with wild monkeys. And then in Ifrane the Switzerland of Morocco before arriving in Fez to spend the night in a Riad in the Medina.

Day 7: visit of the imperial city of Fez

After breakfast in your Riad, you will start to explore the imperial city of Fez; It is also considered the spiritual capital of the country and our oldest imperial city of Fez as you explore its bustling souks, a tangle of photogenic alleys and historical monuments. First of all, the gate of the Royal Palace creates a warm and peaceful atmosphere between the new Fez and the old one. then the Jewish headquarters and the first Mellah ever built in Morocco. 

Then we will start to visit all the sites of cultural and historical interest, including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region, the tanneries and the Attarine museum. After lunch you will see the best area to stay in Fes (Fes el Bali), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its narrow streets and historical monuments such as Medersa Bou Inania and Bab Boujloud (the main gate of the Medina). 

For shoppers, Fez el Bali is a local craft paradise with colorful Moroccan slippers, leatherwork, metalwork, rainbow crystal chandeliers, and tiles, all on display in stalls throughout. the whole neighborhood. In the afternoon we will visit the new town for a drink or the transfer to the airport depends on your departure time.
