4 days Imperial cities back to Casablanca

Day 1: Casablanca to Marrakech

A private driver for your private tour of Casablanca will pick you up from your hotel and we will start your tour of Marrakech from Casablanca.

After 2h30 on the road, you will enjoy the day of rest in Marrakech. The historical visit includes the Menara garden, the Saadian tombs and the Bahia palace.

Lunch (optional) will be served at a local restaurant before visiting the souks and craft districts in the afternoon for shopping. End the day at the famous Djemâa El Fina square. And after that you will go to your accommodation for the night.

Day 2: Marrakech - to Fes through the Middle Atlas, Khnifra, Azrou and Ifrane

In the morning, around 8:00 am, the trip to Fez will begin. It’s going to be a long drive from Marrakech to Fez. Along the way, you will pass through many Berber towns such as Beni Mellal, Khnifra, Zaouita Chikh.

You will stop for lunch somewhere along the way, then continue to Ifrane, the Moroccan Switzerland. You will stop at Ifrane, which was built as a mountain station (5,400 feet) in 1929. With the tiled roofs of its chalets which give it a decidedly European look, which is why it is called Moroccan Switzerland because it is also covered with snow from December to March. Then continue towards Fez. We will spend the night in a Riad in the Medina.

Day 3: Visit to Fes and then road to Rabat via Meknes

At 9:30 am, you will meet a local guide at the riad and start exploring the oldest of Morocco’s imperial cities. Fez is an important religious, intellectual and cultural center. It is also famous for its traditional handicrafts and, due to the particularly high reputation of its university, it is known by many as « the Athens of Africa ». 

You will start with the royal palace with its «  hermetically closed doors, its eggshell facade and pine green Saracen tiles, then the Mellah (Jewish quarter), the blue door, and after that you will go to Fes El Bali (the old medina). You will start with the Andlous district to see the Andalusian mosque which was built in the 9th century and then the Kairouyiene mosque which was built in 857. 

And as you stroll through the small streets of the medina, you will see many shops and workshops of the merchants and artisans grouped by specialty. You will also visit the Merinid Medersa (Bou Inania Mederssa) which is also a mosque. Then you will go to the tanneries to see where the jackets and leather bags are made to see the process by which the animal skins become supple and rotten. Lunch in a local restaurant somewhere in the medina. And after lunch, you will drive to Meknes for a tour of the old town and then drive directly to Rabat for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Visit Rabat then go to Casablanca

In the morning at 8:00 am you will start with the territory of chellah (Bad Challah) where the first settlement was founded in the 3rd century BC. 

Then continue to the Hassan Tower, a minaret known as the Hassan Tower is all that remains of the mosque.This mosque is an unfinished mosque that covers an area of 30,000 square meters and is said to have had 19 naves and 424 columns and pillars. And in front of the Hassan Tower, the Mohamed 5 mausoleum commemorates the sultan who allowed Morocco to gain independence and the mausoleum was built between 1961 and 1969 by the Vietnamese architect VO TOAN. 

After spending some time wandering around this beautiful historic location, you will head to the Kasbah des Oudayas, located on the south shore of the Bou Regreg estuary. And after that, he will go to Casablanca.
