4 days Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour

Introduction

4 days and 3 nights desert tours from Marrakech to Merzouga is recommended simply because there are som many things to see an do besides camel trekking and a night in the Sahara desert camp. And avoid sitting in the car for more than 10 hours.

Day 1: Marrakech -High Atlas Mountains - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - Boumalne Dades

In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech to start the first day of our trip. We will cross the Atlas Mountains and pause to take photos at the highest point of the mountains (2260 meters). You will enjoy a panoramic view of the Tizi n’Tichka pass with its beautiful Berber villages below. After passing this interesting area, we will arrive at the Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou and explore it. This historic place was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. We will stop there for lunch. Then we continue our way to the Dades Valley passing through the Rose Valley, the Red Mountains and the Dades River, on the way we will make stops at the best places to enjoy the panoramic views and take photos. After that we will drop you off at your hotel where you will spend the night.

Day 2: Boumalne Dades - Todgha Gorges - Erg Chebbi - Camel Ride

After breakfast at your hotel, we will directly start our journey to Merzouga / Erg Chebbi, the Sahara Desert. We will pass through many ancient and interesting Berber villages on this route.

The first stop will be in the Todgha Valley, where you will have free time to walk around and explore the gorges.

After lunch, we will go to Merzouga where your camels are waiting for you to take you on an unforgettable adventure to your desert camp.

In your camp, you will have the opportunity to see the magical sunset in the desert and the starry sky.

After dinner at the camp, you will enjoy listening to traditional Berber music before sleeping.

Day 3: Merzouga - Rissani - Alnif - N'kob - Agdz - Ouarzazate

Get up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise at the top of the dune in the Sahara Desert, then have breakfast. After these beautiful moments, you will return on camel back to the hotel where you can shower.

Later, we will return to Ouarzazate via Rissani, Alnif, N’kob, Agdz. You will have time to investigate the Rissani souk and then proceed to Alnif, the home of Trilobite.

Later we will continue to N’kob for lunch. And after lunch we head to Agdez and we stop for a panoramic view of the palm groves of the Daraa Valley. Later, we will cross the Ait Saoun mountains to reach Ouarzazate.

Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.

Day 4: Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Col de Tizi N'tichka - High Atlas Mountains - Marrakech

Today after breakfast at the hotel. You will have time to see the Kasbah of Taourirt then another photo stop near the atlas film studios.

After that, you will visit the Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou and stop for lunch at a local restaurant in the village.

In the afternoon, we will continue to the red city of Marrakech on the High Atlas mountains via the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m altitude).

Arrival in Marrakech and drop off at the address indicated above.
