3 days from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert
Introduction
We will start this tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, through the High Atlas mountains via Ouarzazate. visit the UNISCO World Heritage site, Roses Valley, Dades Valley.
Overnight in the Dades Valley. We will continue our way to Tenghir, down to Merzouga desert, Camel trekking.
Overnight in the berber tents at the middle of the dunes, after breakfast will come again in back in our road to Marrakech.
Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Ben Hadou - Ouarzazate - Dades Gorges
Depart from Marrakech in the morning, the driver will pick you up from your hotel.
Take the road to the dunes of Merzouga, through the High Atlas through the Tichka pass located at 2260 altitude. The first stop will be the Kasbah Ait ben Hadou and the ancient Kasbah of Talouet. These two fortified villages, recognized as World Heritage by UNESCO, offer you a complete overview of the construction techniques of old mud houses … Lunch at the Kasbah and direction to Ouarzazate. In Ouarzazate, visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and the studios before heading to the Dades Gorges. Also enjoy the splendid landscapes of the Dades Valley, the Valley of the Roses and Kalaa M’gouna. On arrival you will see the sunset: the Dades gorges have shown all their magic … First night in a typical hotel Very clean and comfortable, ideal for a night shift.
Day 2: Dades Gorges - Merzouga (Erg Chebbi Dunes)
On the second day of our 3-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, we will head to the Sahara desert. Before, we will make a stop at the Todgha Gorges, it is a river between the conyons that represents the power of water between the rocks. Also, we will visit one of the Berber clothing cooperatives, you can dress locally and get free henna.
On the way to Merzouga, we will make a short stop near the Erg Chebbi dunes before returning to the center. Afterward, you can leave your luggage with the driver and ride a camel. You will stop in the dunes to watch the sunset before arriving at the camp.
Day 3: Merzouga - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
In the morning, after breakfast at sunrise, we will break camp and leave the desert with our camels and return to our original starting point.
Then you will return to the hotel to be able to take a shower, have breakfast and collect your luggage before returning to Ouarzazate in Marrakech.
We will stop along the way for lunch. You will arrive in Ouarzazate in the afternoon, after a short break, you will continue to Marrakech.
Once you arrive in Marrakech, you will be dropped off at your hotel. End of 3 days visit Marrakech Merzouga. Finish with our services.
