3 days via Ouarzazate from Agadir to Zagora Desert

Introduction

Experience the Desert Lifestyle, Overnight Desert Safari to Erg Chegaga from Zagora.

Sleep in a nomadic camp in the Sahara Desert, watch the sunrise and sunset on a camel’s back, admire the bright stars at night, and take in spectacular views of legendary kasbahs and oases.

Day 1: Agadir - Taroudante - Taliouine - Aït Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Agdz

After breakfast at your hotel, we head east and stop at Taroudant, an ancient Moroccan city characterized by its red walls and souks, and Taliouine, famous for saffron production. We then continue to Ouarzazate and stop at nearby Ait Ben Haddou to visit the Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and have lunch. From Ouarzazate, we will cross the magnificent Draa Valley palm tree to reach Agdz for dinner and overnight in a hotel.

Day 2: Agdz - Zagora - Tamegroute - M’hamid - Erg Chigaga

After breakfast, departure to Zagora and stop in Tamegroute to visit its famous Koran library, underground kasbah, and pottery. The journey continues to M’hamid, where we will have lunch. After an hour of camel riding in the afternoon, a track will take us through the rocky desert landscape to the Chegaga sand dunes that stretch for 40 km. Here you will be offered a welcome drink at the nomad camp and then have time to walk and enjoy the sunset until dinner. Sleep at night in tents or under a starry sky.

Day 3: Erg Chegaga - Foum Zguid - Taznakht - Agadir

After breakfast, departure with the track towards Taliouine through the dry lake of Iriqui. Then we will head to Foum Zguid and continue to Taznakht for lunch before taking the road to Agadir, where the arrival is scheduled around 6 pm.
