12 days from Marrakech to Essaouira and the desert​

DAY 1: Arrival in Marrakech - Transfer to the hotel

Our driver will pick you up from the airport and you will have the day to relax while exploring the main Jemaa el Fnaa square and the souks.

DAY 2: Full day to visit Marrakech

Today we will have an optional private guided tour of the Marrakech medina with an official Marrakech guide. You will see the famous Koutoubia mosque, the medina and its souks, and explore other secrets of Marrakech: the Ali Ben Youssef Koranic school, the Saadien Bahia palace and the Majorelle gardens, night in a Riad in the medina.

DAY 3: Marrakech - Essaouira

Departure from Marrakech to the coastal city of Essaouira. A relaxing walk lined with argan oil cooperatives will take you to this UNESCO World Heritage-listed city. The windswept fishing port, with wide beaches and an old walled medina with ramparts built into the cliffs, has long been a popular destination. With its relaxed atmosphere, admire the small but bustling Medina, stroll along the ramparts or the beach, or visit the port to see the daily catch. The Gnaouas Music Festival is held in Essaouira in June. Night in Essaouira.

DAY 4: Essaouira - Jadida - Casablanca - Rabat

After breakfast, departure to Rabat and continuation of your trip along the Atlantic coast. Pass by El Jadida, a small port town, once controlled by the Portuguese, which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site; and make a stop in Casablanca to visit Place Mohammed V and the impressive Hassan II Mosque. Explore the imperial city of Rabat, including the Mechouar (the ramparts and ramparts that surround the royal palace), the majestic Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Hassan Tower and the Kasbah of Oudaya, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and offering fabulous views, in addition to be at home. to the Moroccan craft galleries. DAY 5: Rabat - Tangier - Rif Mountains - Chefchaouen

Explore Chefchaouen, with its winding alleys and narrow alleys that are home to many souks offering cuisine and handicrafts, such as woolen items, intricate embroidery, and goat cheese; all from the north and found nowhere else in Morocco. Relax in the square, visit a local farm, or go for a hike in the nearby parks. Night in Chefchaouen.

DAY 6: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Fes

After your breakfast at the riad, our authentic journey will begin with a scenic drive that will take us from the top of the Rif Mountains through fertile agricultural hills to the Berber Roman ruins of Volubilis, an open-air museum. Volubilis is not as spectacular as the Roman Berber sites on the edge of the Mediterranean, but it is still a relaxed way of imagining an important part of Moroccan history. We will head to Meknes, the fourth of Morocco’s imperial cities and 17th century heritage, where we will stop for lunch and hang out around the huge historical walls of the Medina. After the launch, we took a look at Bab el Mansour and enjoyed a visit to the Moulay Ismail shrine. After the visit of Meknes, we will go directly to the city of Fez where you will spend the night.

DAY 7: Full day to explore Fes

After breakfast, you will visit Fez, the ancient imperial city, with a local guide. This city is the former capital and one of the four imperial cities of the country. Fez has three distinct parts, Fes el Bali, which is the oldest part surrounded by a great wall, where there are more than 9000 narrow and allied streets. Its medina is the largest in the world. DAY 8: Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Erfoud - Rissani - Merzouga

After breakfast, we leave Fez and head towards the Todra gorges, passing through Ifrane to reach the cedar forests of Azrou where the wild monkeys are found. It will be a good opportunity to take pictures of the wild nature of Morocco. Lunch in a small Berber village of Zaida. We continue the road through the Atlas mountains taking advantage of the landscapes of Medilt to reach the small town of Rich, Erfoud where we will feel the beginning of the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet then continue towards Merzouga. We will spend the night in a hotel / riad in Merzouga.

DAY 9: Merzouga - Berber Families - Black desert - Merzouga

After breakfast, we leave Fez and head towards the Todra gorges, passing through Ifrane to reach the cedar forests of Azrou where the wild monkeys are found. It will be a good opportunity to take pictures of the wild nature of Morocco. Lunch in a small Berber village of Zaida. We continue the road through the Atlas mountains taking advantage of the landscapes of Medilt to reach the small town of Rich, Erfoud where we will feel the beginning of the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet then continue towards Merzouga. We will spend the night in a hotel / riad in Merzouga.

DAY 10: Merzouga - Erfoud - Touroug - Todra Gorges - Valley of Dades

Get up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise at the top of the dune in the Sahara Desert, then have breakfast. After these beautiful moments, you will return on camel back to the hotel. We leave for Tineghir via Erfoud and Tinejdad. Take a break for lunch. In the afternoon, we will continue to the Todra Gorge via Tineghir. Stop along the way to take photos and admire the view. Arrive at the Todra Gorges to enjoy its magnificent view of the canyons during a hike. Later we will head to Boumalne Dades and stop to enjoy a panoramic view of the Dades valley.

DAY 11: Dades Valley - Ouarzazate - High Atlas Mountains - Marrakech

Get up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise at the top of the dune in the Sahara Desert, then have breakfast. After these beautiful moments, you will return on camel back to the hotel. We leave for Tineghir via Erfoud and Tinejdad. Take a break for lunch. In the afternoon, we will continue to the Todra Gorge via Tineghir. Stop along the way to take photos and admire the view. Arrive at the Todra Gorges to enjoy its magnificent view of the canyons during a hike. Later we will head to Boumalne Dades and stop to enjoy a panoramic view of the Dades valley.

DAY 12: Marrakech - Airport

Transfer from the hotel to the airport, end of the 12-day tour from Marrakech.
