10 days from Marrakech to Tangier via Merzouga Desert
Day 2: Guided tour in Marrakech
After breakfast, you can start exploring Marrakech, the « red city of Morocco ».
We’ll make sure you see the most important sites of historical and cultural interest including the Majorelle Gardens, Koutoubia Tower, Saadian Tombs, and Bahia Palace.
After lunch at a restaurant near the square, you will walk through the souks and see hundreds of artifacts.
In the afternoon, you will have free time to wander around the other parts of the city on your own.
Day 3: Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Skoura
Today, we leave Marrakech at 9 am.
After crossing the Tizi n Tikka pass in the High Atlas Mountains.
Along the way, you will stop for lunch and have the opportunity to visit Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
You can also enjoy the discovery of Ouarzazate.
This relatively new city was home to the Kasbah, which once belonged to the Glaouis family who ruled Morocco.
You will have the possibility to spend the night in the Dades Valley or in Ouarzazate.
Day 4: Skoura - Merzouga (Sahara desert)
Today you will be transferred to Merzouga.
Along the way, you can stop at the Dades Valley or Todra Gorge.
After that, you will pick up the camel and drive for about an hour into the desert towards our private tent area.
A night was spent al fresco dining under the stars, followed by an evening in a Bedouin-style tent.
If you’d rather not camp, ride a camel for an hour to watch the sunset and stay overnight at the Kasbah Hotel.
We have regular and luxury campsites.
Day 7: Fez (private guided tour)
Today you will start to explore the oldest city in Morocco, strolling through its small alleys and streets.
Our tour begins with a visit to the gate of the royal palace, the Jewish residence, and the first Mellah (old market) built in the 16th century.
We will make sure to visit all the sites of cultural and historical interest, including the famous and oldest Al-Qarawiyyin University in the region, the tanneries, the Attarin Museum, and the Moulay Idris Mausoleum.
After lunch, you will visit the Balat cooperative and then enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the whole city of Fez.
day 8: Fez - Meknes - Volubilis - Chefchaouen
After breakfast, head to the Second Empire of Meknes to take photos of the huge Bab El Mansour gate.
The city tour of Meknes includes the Hari Souani stables, the old town, and the magnificent royal palace.
Then continue to the holy city of Molly Idris.
You will have some time to rest in this charming little town before visiting the Roman ruins of Volubilis.
Volubilis is a truly wonderful place chosen by UNESCO as the cultural heritage of humanity.
After your visit, depart for the blue city of Chefchaouen for an overnight stay.
Day 9: Chefchaouen (private guided tour)
After breakfast, you will visit the blue city of Chefchaouen, located in the Jouf of two mountains, Al Shaawa (Al Qunun), from which it takes its name.
Steep and narrow streets with white and indigo lacquered buildings, small squares, ornate fountains, and houses with richly decorated entrances and red-tiled roofs make this town a delight.
Enjoy your lunch in one of the traditional restaurants with a magnificent view of the Shawa Mountains.
