8 Days from Agadir to the South of Morocco
Day 1: Agadir - Tata
After breakfast at your hotel, departure to the Tata region as a base for excursions off the beaten track, such as Akka oasis, desert camp and the rock carvings of Oum el-Alek, Tircht and Ait Herbal, between the best in Morocco. After hours of driving through the beautiful landscapes and mountains, we stopped for a picnic lunch. Then we continue through the beautiful landscape with beautiful stops. We arrive in Tata to have dinner and spend the night in a hotel or in a desert camp.
Day 2: Tata - Foum Zguid - Erg Chigaga
Departure in the morning after breakfast to reach the high and immense sand dunes of Erg Chigaga. Nice stops to enjoy the beauty of the southern region before arriving in Foum Zguid for lunch. Then, we take a track through the dry lake of Irqui before reaching the Erg Chigaga desert with beautiful dunes and a unique silence. After enjoying the sunset over the dunes, a tasty dinner is served and the night is spent in nomad tents or under the light of the stars.
Day 3: Erg chigaga - M’hamid - Tamgeroute - Draa Valley - Ouarzazate
After sunrise, breakfast is served at the bivouac, then we continue the journey to the village of M’hamid, where you will relax and take a shower at a hotel. After lunch at the site, departure to the village of Tamegroute to visit the Koranic library and the ancient Kasbah. Then we will drive to Zagora and cross the beautiful Draa Valley to Ouarzazate, where you will have dinner and spend the night in a hotel.
Day 4: Ouarzazate - Ait Benhadou - Atlas - Marrakech
After breakfast at the hotel, departure to the Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou, one of the best preserved and most spectacular kasbahs in Morocco. It is also a famous site for Hollywood movies. After the visit, we cross the landscapes of the High Atlas mountains at the 2260 m altitude pass with a break for lunch at the site. We arrive in Marrakech around 5 p.m. Night at the hotel.
Day 5: Marrakech - Essaouira - Marrakech
After a night’s rest and breakfast in the morning, departure to the coastal city of Essaouira. After a few hours of driving, we arrive at this haven of peace to enjoy the walls of the old medina, the great port as well as to walk along the beach. Lunch to be enjoyed at a seafood restaurant, then continue your exploration of the city before returning to Marrakech. Night at the hotel.
Day 6: Marrakech (City tour)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will go on a full-day excursion with an English-speaking guide to the medina of Marrakech. The visit will include the magnificent Bahia Palace, the Saadian tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque, the large Jemaa el-Fna square, the spacious Majorelle Gardens and the colorful souks, with artisans and handicrafts. Night at the hotel.
Day 7: Marrakech - Agadir
Free morning before leaving for the city of Agadir by road. Arrival in Agadir is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
Day 8: Agadir Airport
Transfer to the airport.
